The Malaysian Naturalist (MN)published by the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), is a quarterly magazine aimed at promoting awareness of our natural history, conservation, and sustainable development. The MN is the perfect opportunity for conservation and eco-enthusiasts to share their experiences with like-minded readers.

In this bird-centric issue, we offer you stories on these themes, chief among which is the largest event on the MNS calendar, Raptor Watch, happening on 10th and 11th March. Learn more about this event in Tanjung Tuan, Melaka that is not only a celebration of migratory raptors but also a means of studying and monitoring the birds that need our shores to survive their long travels.

The Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) is Malaysia’s largest and oldest non-government environmental organization. The Society has been contributing towards the protection of Malaysia’s natural heritage since 1940. MNS’ overarching focus in everything it does is to conserve Malaysia’s diverse habitats. Our key role is to protect Malaysia’s natural heritage, especially ecologically sensitive landscapes. As a nation that is vigorously forging ahead in development, this is a key factor in addressing Malaysia’s current and future environmental challenges.

Being a membership-based organization the Society continues to document (and communicate) Malaysian natural history through the Malayan Nature Journal (since 1940), and for public consumption, and our membership, the Malaysian Naturalist, the foremost national popular nature magazine. The Malaysian Naturalist published by the Malaysian Nature Society(MNS), is a quarterly magazine aimed at promoting awareness of our natural history, conservation, and sustainable development.
