The phenomenon which is analysed in this book is considered to be significant and special as it is related to the education domain, especially the Bilingual Education System. This book explains how code-switching between Malay and English functions in the domain of education, especially in the classroom teaching-learning discourse. At the same time, this book also highlights the importance of the existence of code-switching in educational discourse, even though in theory discourse should be monolingual that is in English.
