Instructor Biography
Sahul HM is a senior lecturer at the Department of History, Faculty of Human Sciences, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). This Perak-born gentleman, now Head of the History Department, once taught the history subject at the Tunku Kursiah College (TKC) in Seremban before starting his academic career at UPSI as a tutor since 2007. He pursued his master and doctoral studies at the University of Malaya and the University of Sydney, Australia respectively. Thematically, his interests are on political history, propaganda and psychological warfare. He is also interested in biographical studies. Geographically, he focuses his research on Malaysia and Indonesia in particular with Southeast Asia in general. Actively involved as an evaluating panel of Malaysian primary and secondary school History textbooks. He has also been appointed as an expert in controversial issues related to history at the national level as well as a regular author in the Ajar Demokrasi and Imani Blog portal which gather some of high reputation authors in Malaysia.
