Instructor Biography

Chen Xin Wee is a public health physician and medical lecturer at the Department of Public Health Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Public Health (MPH), and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) (Epidemiology) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). At UiTM, she teaches research methodology, biostatistics, epidemiology, and population health dynamics at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. With her research experience working with international and local collaborators, Dr. Chen has written numerous winning research proposals. Her main research interest is non-communicable disease modelling.

 

Mohamad Rodi Isa (MBBS, DAP&E, MPH, DrPH) is a medical lecturer at the Department of Public Health Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, Master of Public Health, and Doctor of Public Health from the University of Malaya. Dr. Rodi has a keen interest in Biostatistics and Clinical Epidemiology. He has supervised numerous students and advised researchers and lecturers on approaches to conduct research and perform data analysis. Having published in reputable local and international journals, Dr. Rodi is also a regular trainer in biostatistics and research methodology workshops.

 

Mohd Shahril Ahmad Saman (MD, MPH) is a lecturer at the Department of Public Health Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Sg. Buloh. He has a special interest in behavioural epidemiology. For the past 10 years, Dr. Mohd Shahril has advised numerous researchers and students at the Faculty of Medicine, UiTM, on approaches to conduct studies and perform data analysis. He earned his medical degree at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2000 and his MPH at the same institution in 2010. Dr. Mohd Shahril had vast experience in different clinical fields before joining academia. He can be contacted at [email protected].

 

Raudah Mohd Yunus (MBBCH, MPH, DrPH) is a lecturer of Public Health, researcher, and writer currently affiliated with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She teaches research methods, family health, migrant health, and global health. Raudah's research interests span across different areas, which include gerontology (with a focus on elder abuse and neglect), health equity, refugees and social protection, and human trafficking. She is actively involved in projects on modern slavery and social protection in conflict settings with teams from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) in Sussex. Raudah is currently a senior fellow of the Atlantic Institute (Oxford), which promotes health equity and social justice.

 

Zaliha Ismail (Associate Professor Dr.) is a Public Health physician and lecturer at the Department of Public Health Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She started her career as an academic at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2004 and moved to UiTM in 2011. Other than her active involvement in numerous research projects, Dr. Zaliha is also a member of the research ethics committee of the faculty. The subjects she teaches include research methodology and environmental health. She is currently the head of the Public Health Medicine Department.
