First Aid: A Guide for Physical & Health Educators was written and designed to pursue careers in PHE education. There are many modules, guidebooks, handbooks, or guidelines in first aid designed with content and coverage explicit to a medical sciences background. Therefore, there was a need for a reference book that was written for the introductory learner choosing a career in education, a book that covered the fundamentals at a reasonable depth to satisfy the needs of these learners in a one-semester course.

This book will guide you along a journey of understanding the fundamentals and management of a particular disease, disorder, or emergency daily. It is written in short, clear, concise, and easily understandable scientific language and presupposes no previous medical science exposure. The writing style and presentation will assist introductory learners with limited science backgrounds in comprehending the basic concepts of first aid.
