UiTM Professorial Lecture: Let the Data Speak provides a clear understanding of data and its importance in analysing research productivity. As data becomes increasingly essential across fields, this book connects theory with practical application by explaining data types, methods of data presentation, and key statistical techniques used to evaluate research productivity. It highlights approaches such as chi-square statistics and relief variable selection to identify significant factors influencing research productivity. Motivated by the growing need for data-driven evaluation in academic and institutional settings, this publication guides readers on collecting, presenting, and interpreting data effectively. It is organised into four chapters: the first two introduce data and data visualisation methods, including stem-and-leaf plots, scatter plots, box plots, bar charts, and histograms; and the last two discuss the definition of research and research productivity using big data analytics. This book aims to support students, researchers, and professionals in making informed, data-driven decisions.
