The British Westminster system, as it is applied in Malaysia, else known as democratic parliamentary system, is modelled after the United Kingdom's system i.e. Constitutional Monarchy and the Bicameral system. This book highlights the aspects of government and politics in relation to the Westminster system, with a special focus on traditional and Islamic values in the Malaysian government administration. The chapters are designed in a way to enable readers to understand the differences of Malaysia's government and politics, and similarities, with those of the other countries, particularly the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The deliberation of the set-up and dynamics of the Malaysian democratic system, the governments, and the organs therein form the essence of this book. It captures, describes and sheds light into how the governments arms, agencies and instruments play their roles. This is further substantiated with general and comparative illustration, where and when necessary, to the Malaysian government.
