MANAGE IT! Foundation of Records Management
This book is intended to help students understand the records management principles applicable to the information. Besides, it is published to introduce basic knowledge on records management as reference to manage records effectively and efficiently. This book consists of an overview of terms and basic concepts of records management, principles of records management, records management legislation, registry as a place to manage your records, file management and appraisal and disposition of records in organisation. This book will serve as a starting point for you to encourage and develop a records management program in your organisation.
Instructor Biography
Siti Noorsiah Jamaludin is a lecturer at the Faculty of Information Management, UiTM Johor. She received her Diploma in Information, Bachelor’s degree in Records Management and her Master degree in Information Management, all from UiTM.
Siti Nuur-Ila Mat Kamal is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty on Information Management, UiTM Johor. She completed her PhD in Information System from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She is formely a Course Coordinator of Faculty Information Management in UiTM Johor.
Alwi Mohd Yunus a philosophy doctor in Digital Information Management, specialising in Data Archive, is a senior lecturer a Faculty of Information Management (FIM), UiTM since 1999. His forte is in Knowledge Management (KM) and Electronic Records Management (ERM).
