The book is organized into three themes and consists of eleven chapters that represent the nuances of inclusive sustainability. The first theme, Pathways to Inclusive Sustainability: Policy, Administration, and Social Equity, explores how governance and equity drive sustainable development. The second theme, Health, Community, and Socio-Economic Change: Insights from Diverse Contexts, examines the relationship between health, local communities, and economic transformation. The third theme, Pathways to Environmental Resilience: Sustainable Rural Tourism, Renewable Energy, and Green Financing, focuses on utilitarian approaches to developing environmental resilience for sustainable development. The book brings together diverse perspectives in all its eleven chapters, underscoring the value of novel solutions and diverse thinking. The sum of all these contributions generates a rich variety of visions about sustainability—one that is possible and best for all.
Goals/Objectives
In addressing global challenges of environmental degradation, socio-economic inequality, and governance inefficiency, Building Inclusive Sustainability: Pathways to Policy, Community Development & Environmental Innovation offers a multidisciplinary exploration of inclusive development across various sectors. Organized into three thematic sections, the book presents studies that advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in Asia. It synthesizes theory and practice, emphasizing that sustainability must be contextualized, participatory, and policy-aligned.
Instructor Biography
Associate Professor Dr. Radin Firdaus bin Radin Badaruddin has published over 50 articles in reputable journals indexed by WoS and Scopus and serves as a reviewer for top-ranked journals. He has advised and collaborated with government agencies and industry partners including the Penang Green Council, the Department of Agriculture and Barokah Food Plt. He has secured research and industrial grants at national and international levels, contributing to impactful work in agricultural rural development.
