Computer Organization course is an introductory course for the first-year student enrolled in Diploma in Computer Science in UiTM. This course is composed of theoretical study about computer architecture and hands-on activities in understanding Assembly Language (AL) instructions. Students always have difficulties performing the AL instructions as there are more than 20 instructions to be taught. This exercise book contains suitable lab exercises organized in structured modules for each computer organization and assembly language topic. It is a complementary workbook for students to do activities in achieving lesson outcomes for particular topics; basic calculation in computer organization, conversion of numbers based on 486 computer architecture, and the Assembly Language instructions. The exercises provided guidelines, instructions at the beginning of the topic and follow the exercise for the students to explore.


Instructor Biography

Haslinda Noradzan writes academic papers on computer science and educational areas uses her experience as an e-learning instructor on customizing this exercise book according to learners' backgrounds.

Juhaida Ismail is presently working on many academic research papers and projects in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) field. Besides, she is actively involved in systems development for academic and community projects.

Ts. Mohd Norafizal Abd Aziz, senior lecturer in UiTM from 2003 until the present. His expertise contributed significantly to completing this exercise book with bright achievement in learning, quality, and computer science fields.

Rozeleenda Abdul Rahman, a senior lecturer actively participates in creating innovative products for educational areas and being recognized in national and international competitions.

Zazaleena Zakariah is a senior lecturer with deep experience in teaching and her areas of interest are information systems and e-learning.
