This Agricultural Development in Malaysia book is divided into eight chapters. The book is written to enable the readers to understand the process of agricultural development and changes from traditional to commercial agriculture within the context of an industrial economy. Moreover, this book intends to educate Malaysian readers to appreciate the role of agriculture in the various economies. The youths are also not interested in taking up agricultural jobs because they think that agricultural lands are converted to housing. In the long run, Malaysians will suffer if they depend too much on imported food to survive their livelihood and do not engage in producing food for the nation. This book also discusses how Malaysia can move towards the direction of ensuring that the environment is not destructed when food is produced in Malaysia. The authors also discuss the problems and way forward.
