This book offers a basic inlroduction to the cost accounting subject which is very useful for readers who are interested in costing principles and application al the introductory level. It is a key component of management accounting courses taught at universities specifically at the undergraduate level. It introduces the basic cost concepts which form the critical foundation in management accounting field. Instructor Biography

Eley Suzana Kasim, PhD, is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Accountancy of Universiti Teknologi MARA Negeri Sembilan, Seremban Campus. She has more than 20 years of experience in teaching Cost Accounting and Management Accounting, both at the diploma and degree levels. Her PhD study was in the Management Accounting field and her main research interests are in Supply Chain Management, Performance Measurement and Sustainability. She has published several articles in internationally refereed journals, published a book and study guides for Management Accounting courses. She was also an editorial committee member for the Asia Pacific Management Accounting Journal (APMAJ).

Dalila Daud, PhD, is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Accountancy, UiTM Negeri Sembilan, Seremban Campus. With research interests in Islamic accounting and education, she has presented various articles at the local and international conferences. She has also published several papers in internationally refereed journals. She has been a reviewer for several journals internationally such as Journal of Islamic Accounting & Business Research (JIABR), Business & Management Quarterly Review (BMQR) and IEEE. Other than teaching and research, she is also active in consultancy activities such as for Institute of Islamic Training (ILIM) and PKNNS.

Rafizan Abdul Razak, is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Accountancy of Universiti Teknologi MARA Negeri Sembilan, Seremban Campus. She has more than 16 years of experience in teaching Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting and Management Accounting, both at the diploma and degree level. She is also an associate member of Malaysian Institute of Accountant since July 2009. Her research interests are in corporate social responsibility and management accounting. She has published a book for non-accounting students at undergraduate levels entitled Financial and Management Accounting.
