Business Mathematics: Solved Problems

Sumarni Abu Bakar is a passionate Mathematics lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA with significant years of experience in teaching Mathematics courses to help UiTM students gain an understanding of Mathematical concepts. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Universiti Malaya in 1995 and completed her PhD in Mathematics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2013. Her contribution and involvement in mathematical modeling have earned her awards such as the Best Article Award by PERSAMA in 2013 and the Gold Medal Award at Invention, Innovation & Design (IID) 2015. Rashidah Ismail was previously a Mathematics lecturer in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Kolej Pengajian Pengkomputeran, Informatik dan Matematik, Universiti Teknologi MARA. She obtained her Master's degree in Mathematics from Emporia State University, Kansas, USA, in 1990. She has been teaching Mathematics courses since 1991 and recently retired from UiTM in early 2023. The journey that she has created for the past 32 years in teaching and encouraging students to love Mathematics is the most unforgettable experience.

Khadijah Abdul Hamid is a senior lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Humboldt State University, California, USA, in 1986 and her Master of Science in Mathematics from California State University, Fresno, USA, in 1990. She has been teaching various Mathematics courses in Universiti Teknologi MARA for more than 25 years. She has a track record of successful teaching, specifically Business Mathematics for over two decades. Her research interest is on fluid dynamics.

Nur Aziean Mohd Idris is presently a lecturer in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Universiti Teknologi MARA. She graduated from UiTM with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Mathematics in 2013. She received her master's degree in Mathematical Medicine and Biology from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 2015. She has been teaching mathematics courses since 2016.

Hamidah Ayub is an experienced and dedicated lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA, with experience teaching Business Mathematics to Business and Accounting students for more than 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Denver, Colorado, USA, in 1993 and her Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Bangor, Wales, UK, in 1996. She has been at Universiti Teknologi MARA since 1996. She teaches several courses to UiTM students from different backgrounds and programmes. Her research interest is in mathematics education. She received a gold medal for Massive Open Online Courses organised by UiTM 2021.
